I guess i could see challenges differently so that I learn something about myself. Yesterday I returned from an outing, where I met some acquaintances, and listened to a lecture. On the way home, I saw a former colleague, I thought. This brought many feelings of animosity inside me, and I was angry. If I could learn something, as the quote says, maybe I wouldn't bear so much hostility, to my detriment

I once paddled my canoe out of my bay at night on Lake Athabasca. It was pitch black and dead calm. So quiet, so calm and so stupid. I realized I didn't know where the shore was anymore. There were no waves to give me a direction. No light in the cabin for a beacon. I sat there a long time waiting for some noise from land to let me know what direction to go.

Sometimes what we start to do doesn't go as planned. Still, since I survived I like to think of it as an adventure. Adventures are what keeps life from becoming boring. And if nothing ever happened to get your blood pumping it would be. Nothing you survive is a failure, it is an adventure even though I could do without some of them.
