Movies

Well, I may just be weird, but I love any old 80's teenage romance movie. I was having a hard morning this morning. Moaning to my husband about my tingling feet (convinced I have MS, ya know). So, I popped in 'Sixteen Candles' and had many a laugh. I have seen it 308 times and never tire of it. I just think how back when I was that age, I thought my hair and my lack of boobs was the BIGGEST deal EVER! No one understood! Oh my gosh! Now, look at me. Boy, those were the days. I wish I had those worries now. hee hee hee.

Does anyone enjoy watching movies to relax? How about to understand anxiety and other disorders? I loved Patch Adams...there was a part when Patch entered a hospital for depression etc., and said he had lost his way in life. His room mate had panic attacks about imaginary squirrels in their room. Patch helped him get over his fears by playing along with the guys imagination and helping him fight off the squirrels. I wish someone would come along and help me fight off my imaginary fears as well. But I did really enjoy this movie because it showed that Patch Adams got well, that he was intelligent, creative, and imaginative, and cared for others and wanted to help them. That is what he realized that he must do so that he himself would get better. Help others. Does anyone else know of any other movies like that that can help us relax and get over our fears?
