Major Meltdown

Oh Catacap, I know exactly how you are feeling. You had the wisdom to know that it would pass...apologize to the hubby (he he!) and move on. It was a zenith crave weekend..hopefully we won't have too many more of those. But, you came, you cried, you conquered! Scrape the nicodevil off of your wall and bury him in the backyard...he doesn't deserve to even be in the same house with such a great quitter...way to hang tough. new me My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/26/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 103 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,472 Amount Saved: $515.00 Life Gained: Days: 14 Hrs: 4 Mins: 36 Seconds: 14

Thank you everyone for the wonderful support. I would have never made it through this weekend without the words of wisdom I have read on here so many times racing through my head. You guys are the angels on my shoulder convincing me flick the little devil on the other shoulder off! I think that nicodemon is still sticking to my wall! Hee hee! :eg: Woot Woot I MADE IT! Cat, It is great that you talked yourself through it - that's what those coping techniques are all about. You dug your heels in and toughed it out and that's how it gets done. It has to be about commitment and not feelings (your hubby might be chanting that to himself today too ;p). I agree with the wise Unhooked - REWARD time! Even if it's something small, it has to encourage you to keep looking forward. You've got success written all over this quit and one month is just the beginning! Excellent job, Cat! Maybe a little bit of 30 day pit? I think you need a reward, not only for 30 days quit but also for getting through that rough time. Maybe take the poor husband out for dinner? Keep it up, you're doing great! Catacap, Thanks for sharing with us. We know this is not easy and we are here to help. Make sure you are using relaxation techniques throughout the day and create a relaxation ritual before bed. This helps keep you relaxed and has you wake up feeling refreshed. It's okay to cry and feel bad! Make sure you are giving your body some rest as it is continuously trying to heal itself. We are here to for you to lean on :) Josie, Support Specialist

Great job Cat, even through the chaos you knew one drag would not help, you beat the junkie down. You should be very proud of yourself, this fight is not an easy one, but I can tell your going to win it!! Good for you!!! I am so proud of you!!! It was those kinda of days I would blow a good quit and you did not. WOW!!! You have shown me and others reading this that the desire to quit has to be stronger than the desire to smoke. You are amazing. You give us hope and I thank you. Good for you Cat! Mark it up as a victory! Even a meltdown is better than smoking! Your Hubby will survive! Deep breathing exercises really help in case it comes up again! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 183 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,575 Amount Saved: $1,930.65 Life Gained: Days: 22 Hrs: 9 Mins: 9 Seconds: 15
